On the Blue Moutains
The Blue Mountains are about a 90 minute drive due west from Sydney. Even though the British arrived in Sydney in 1788 it wasn't until 1815 that they found a path through these mountains to reach the fertile plains on the other side. Here a few photos from the weekend.
For the most part the weekend was misty and cold, settling at about 8 to 10 degrees. However on the one day we decided to go for a walk we were lucky enough to have a brilliant sunny, blue skies, Australian winter day. There photos were taken around Katoomba.
A photo of our friend's house in Blackheath.
Today we made our way to Jenolan Caves, a series of large limestone caves that have been carved out of the ground over several hundreds of thousands of years.
A few photos from the caves. The one on the right features the Angel's Wing from the 'Temple of Baal' cave. That's it from me tonight.
